Return Policy
Due to the nature of our business operations, we do not accept returns or exchanges on purchased items. All sales are final.
We encourage you to:
- Review product descriptions carefully before purchasing 
- Contact us with any questions prior to completing your order 
- Ensure shipping information is accurate at checkout 
Defective or Damaged Items
While returns are not accepted, we stand behind the quality of our products. If you receive an item that is:
- Defective 
- Damaged during shipping 
- Significantly different from what was described 
Please contact us immediately using our Contact Page with:
- Your order number 
- Photos of the defective/damaged item 
- A brief description of the issue 
We will review your case and work with you to find a fair resolution on a case‑by‑case basis.
Refund Policy
As a solopreneur with a small business, all sales at this time are final for physical products and digital downloads. No refunds or exchanges.
Services (Visiting Educator & Lecturer, Recreation Consulting, Creative Services, Guiding, and similar)
- Cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled service date: No refund. You may request a one‑time reschedule. If no mutually available time can be found, the original fee is retained. 
- Cancellations more than 14 days before the scheduled service date: Eligible for a 50% refund or a one‑time reschedule. 
- Rescheduling: One reschedule is permitted per booking. If a mutually available time cannot be found, all fees are retained. 
- Non‑negotiable: Booking fees cover planning, preparation, service charges, and time already spent. Policies are firm and non‑negotiable. 
Creative Services (design, media, writing, strategy, and related)
Absolutely no refunds. Creative work often requires significant upfront time and resources; once work has begun, fees are fully earned and retained. This is non‑negotiable.
No‑Show & Late Arrival
 To deliver safe, high‑quality services, I commit time, travel, preparation, and reserved calendar space for your session. Because that time cannot be rebooked:
- No‑show or arrival more than 15 minutes late: No refund and no reschedule. Fees are fully retained. 
- If you anticipate being late, please contact me as soon as possible before your start time. I’ll do my best to accommodate within the scheduled window, but extensions are not guaranteed. 
Weather & Safety
Outdoor work continues in most conditions, including rain, snow, sunshine, and high wind. If conditions are severe or unsafe, I reserve the right to cancel or modify the session to protect participants and staff.
 Severe conditions include (but are not limited to): lightning, wildfire or heavy smoke, hazardous air quality, flooding, extreme ice, road closures, park/land management closures, avalanche risk, sustained high winds beyond safe operating limits, or official advisories that restrict access or activity.
- If I cancel due to severe or unsafe conditions: We will reschedule. In rare cases where rescheduling is not possible, a refund may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis, recognizing that significant planning and preparation may have already occurred. 
- If you cancel due to weather: The standard cancellation policy above applies.

Please note: Due to the nature of my work, I may be in the field—backpacking, rock climbing, guiding, or working with a client—and unable to respond immediately. I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m back in service.
